DACIBA MLC Warriors top ABPI Natl. bowlfest

TEAM Davao City Bowlers Association (DACIBA) MLC Warriors emerged as the overall men’s division champion at the close of the 41st Asosasyon ng mga Bowlers ng Pilipinas Incorporated (ABPI) National Championships held recently in Bacolod City.DACIBA MLC Warriors having Nonoy Calida, Muktan Amsirabe, Mars de Guzman, Marlowe Castillo and Lalio Elumbaring edged sister team DACIBA SBC-SMA Eagles which settled for second place overall.

DACIBA SBC-SMA Eagles foiled their chances for a possible grand slam feat in the annual national tournament which they won in 2016 in General Santos City and 2017 in Kidapawan. On their roster had Nonoy Baluyot, Fritz Barros, Eric Engracia, Cris Betonio, Boying Magday and Glenn Perez.

BASROBA Stallions of Basilan City and COPROBA of Kidapawan City placed 2nd and 3rd runners-up, respectively.

In the distaff side, ZAMBA of Zamboanga City emerged as the overall champion leaving past FIREBOWL of Bacolod City, ILCIBA of Iligan City and team DACIBA-Davao at second, third and fourth places, in that order.

Meanwhile, the 42nd ABPI National Championship tournament will be in Davao next year to be hosted by the Davao City Bowlers Association (DACIBA).
