City to form an All Star collegiate squad for Kadayawan hoop

THE CITY Government of Davao through the City Sports Development Division eyes to form and All-Star collegiate squad in preparation for the coming 2017 Kadayawan Invitational basketball tournament set this August.

Mikey Aportadera of the City Sports Development Division said in yesterday’s Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum at the NCCC Mall of Davao that the office is closely coordinating with the collegiate basketball teams based in the city, looking forward to select the best players to form one competitive team.

“We are inviting UAAP teams for our Kadayawan Invitational basketball tournament. De LaSalle University, Far Eastern University, University of Sto. Tomas, University of the Philippines are among we invited,” Aportadera said.

Holy Cross of Davao College Crusaders mentor Ice Gravador was tapped to coach the Davao collegiate selection to be backed by other local coaches.
