Cebu Pacific launches Davao – Singapore flight

DAVAOEÑOS who wish to fly to Singapore need not worry about connecting flights outside of Davao city. The Philippines’ leading airline, Cebu Pacific sent off its first international destination from Davao on December 17, 2015, marking the beginning of the airline’s twice weekly service to its first international destination from Davao.

The maiden flight was sent off at the airport by Philippine Department of Tourism Secretary Arturo Boncato, Jr., Davao Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines General Manager – Efren Nagrama and CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.

With the launch of the new Davao-Singapore route, even more trravelers from davao and neighboroing regions can take advantage of CEB’s trademark lowest fares and convenient connectivity to explore Singapore. CEB’s current promo fare for this route could go as low as P2,828 all-in, up to 68% lower than other airlines.

Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific VP for Mareting and Distribution says “This will be Cebu Pacific’s first direct international service out of Davao, and hopefully, as we grow the market, it won’t be the last. “ Earlier in the day, the first of thrice weekly services from Manila to Fukuoka, Japan was launched. Later in the evening Cebu Pacific launched the newest service between Cebu and Taipei.

Candice Iyog further said “ With this direct flight, Davao and Mindanao are alson on  the map for adventure-loving singaporeans and expats, looking for the next exciting destination. Er look forward to sharing to the world the Mindanao region’s unique islands and highlands and contribute to the Philippine’s tourism agenda.”
