Carpio elected CICAD prexy; Paholio is chairman

FORMER national team member Dominic “Dino” Carpio was elected as the interim president of the Citywide Cycling Association of Davao (CICAD) while former PhilCycling Deputy Secretary for Mindanao Salvador “Jun” Paholio Jr. is the Chairman.

Ruso Guaves is the Vice President for Internal while Kagawad Gilbert Arais of San Isidro, Bunawan is the Vice President for External.

Former Philippine Sports Commission regional coordinator Lito delos Reyes is the Secretary General while his Deputy is Ludina Casaljay.

The other interim officers are Joanne Casaljay (treasurer), Rey Pinton (auditor), Leonard Paul Palo (PRO) and Harvey Bryan Malnegro (Sgt. of Arms).

The Directors are Krister Jay Nacua, Rolando Lim, Joselito Drama, Richard Handuman, Nepthalie Sipalay and Oscar Castillo.

“We’re very happy that majority of the bike clubs and groups in Davao City are now being represented in CICAD,” said founding president Salvador “Jun” Paholio Jr.

Among these clubs are the Davao Pobre Bikers Association (Dapoba), All Terrain Challenger, MUMHO, Jail Officers Bikers (JOB), SM Lanang Bikers, WADAB, Sun City United Bikers Association (SCUBA), Patriots and BMX Davao.

“Aside from discovering and developing our cyclists, we will also be conducting events to help promote our sports tourism in Davao,” said Paholio.

Carpio, on the other hand, said CICAD will also be using its technical officials in the first BJMP Off Season Duathlon Race slated this Sunday, Dec. 10 at the City Jail Road in Ma-a.
