It is not known to many but water can help us live longer and healthier.

Next to oxygen, water is the most important and our life is dependent upon it. That is the main reason why we must drink more water every day. Water also dilutes toxins and wastes and helps them out of the body. Fats and cholesterol that don’t dissolve in water have special water-based transport called lipoproteins to help them shuttle around the body.

But what about our skin? We can only feed it with water if we take a bath, this is the main reason, why I made a comprehensive study and experiment on how to nourish our skin with herbal water spray.

My partnership with Edward Alabaster, the founder and formulator of Alabaster Miracle Oil was blessed, we were gifted by GOD to formulate Peppermint Extract, Camomile Tea, Origano Extract and Spring Water to make it a multi-purpose Herbal Body Spray. We did a generous spraying from our head to toe and the result was very inspiring.

The healthy skin benefits that we are enjoying now because of the Herbal Body Spray are the following: it moisturizes and refreshes our skin thus giving as youthful looks, it refreshes our eyes, ears, nose, throat and gums. It nourishes our scalp, vitalize and thicken our thinning hair and many more health benefits. It’s the only Herbal Body Spray that you open your eyes and mouth while spraying.

I can only express my hearts’ joy with this line… All Glory to GOD!

Health, Fitness & You| Pit Señor! Viva Santo Niño! http://mindanaotimes.net/health-fitness-you-pit-senor-viva-santo-nino/ http://mindanaotimes.net/health-fitness-you-pit-senor-viva-santo-nino/#comments Sun, 15 Jan 2017 03:12:07 +0000 http://mindanaotimes.net/?p=38033 ]]> O MIRACULOUS Santo Niño prostrate before your sacred Image,
we beseech you to cast a merciful look on our troubled hearts. Let Your tender love, so inclined to pity, be softened at our prayers, and grant us that grace for which we ardently implore you. Take from us all unbearable affliction and despair. For your sacred infancy’s sake hear our prayers and send us consolation and aid that we may praise you, with the Father and the Holy Spirit, forever and ever. Amen.

It was as Child King that the first image of the little Jesus came to the Philippines, a gift given to Queen Juana of Cebu, who was later baptized into the Catholic faith along with her husband, Rajah Humabon, and their people, from the navigator Magellan, who landed on the island in 1521. The image of the Sto. Niño of Cebu with its decorations, including the chains of old Spanish gold coins, the toisonne of emeralds, garmets, rubies, and diamonds.

During the period between the departure of Magellan’s fleet in 1521, the Niño was revered by the natives as “Bathala.” They anointed it with oil, offered sacrifices to it, and invoked it to defend them against their enemies, to cure them of sickness, for a plentiful harvest, and for rain when the fields were dry. Tales of its favors traveled to neighboring islands and people sailed to Cebu to see for themselves this wondrous icon.

Such tradition has lived through centuries until present times. Popular piety is shown in an annual merrymaking Cebu festival called Sinulog. It is a dance ritual in honor of the miraculous image of the Sto. Niño. The dance evolves from the elder’s rhythmic movements while playing at the image’s sanctuary. The rhythmic pattern resembles the current (sulog) of Cebu’s Pahina river. Thus, in Cebuano, they call it Sinulog. Pit Señor! Viva Señor!

From the mountains down to the sea, when we are in Davao City, the so-called land of promise, we never run out of places to marvel and enjoy a day or two with our families.

Island-hopping is one of the tour activities readily available considering that Davao City is facing the Island Garden City of Samal. There are different packages that would treat groups to variety of stopovers in both Samal and Talicud islands. The most basic package is a three-stopover day tour including visits to two coral reef locations and a white sand beachline.

Snorkeling can become a very intimate experience as one will surely enjoy the beauty and magnificence of the life and intricacies of underwater environment in Angel Cove and Coral Garden.

On the other hand, games and fun-filled sand activities can be done at the Babu Santa shoreline for the entire family to enjoy and cherish. Lunch fellowship and relaxation is a welcome activity in Babu Santa as they offer bamboo cottages. Likewise, fresh coconut juice is also available among the locals to help one quench an afternoon thirst.

Forever, you will be in our prayers http://mindanaotimes.net/forever-you-will-be-in-our-prayers/ http://mindanaotimes.net/forever-you-will-be-in-our-prayers/#comments Sun, 30 Aug 2015 05:41:36 +0000 http://mindanaotimes.net/?p=17068 ]]> “Eternal Father, I offer thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the Universal Church, those in my home and within my family. Amen.”

-St. Gertrude, the Great

My younger sister, Dr. Casilda C. Aparis, whom we fondly called Sising, had a simple yet meaningful celebration of her 63rd birthday last July 18 with our family. Starting from a heartfelt mañanita greetings of her nephews and nieces, to our noon thanksgiving Eucharistic Celebration at St. Jude Parish, and a dinner party at the poolside of Woodridge Park club house. She was smiling the whole day. Her eyes were looking at us gratefully as we gave her the long stemmed red roses that she offered at the main altar of the house, as we sung the birthday songs as lively as we can, and as she blew the candles and sparklers of her colorful birthday cakes. There was never a sign that it will be her last birthday celebration with us, for after six days she passed away.

pic 10

For 42 years, she was my faithful partner in all my missions. In the home, she was the one who took care of our two “special angels”. Our youngest sister Remy, a 61- year old Downs Syndrome, and our congenitally- blind niece, Ella who had also a mild stroke last year. I know it’s a great responsibility and obligation keeping the well-being of Remy and Ella on a daily basis unceasingly. When she gets “tired” once in a while, but not necessarily complaining, I always assured her that it’s her “sure pass” to heaven and she will nod at me with a lighter face.

As the Vice-President of the Mary Immaculate Health & Educational Foundation, a 26- year old, non-stock, non-profit foundation that we named in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, she helped me with our projects and services in the church, school, and as well as in the community. Because of her dedication and untiring efforts, we were able to distribute thousands of Pre-School, Elementary, and High School books and school supplies to various public schools, not only in Davao City and the four Davao Provinces, but also in South Cotabato, Agusan, Surigao, Siargao Island, Bohol, Panglao Island and Cebu.

She was also an active Rotarian for over 13 years. Yearly, her attendance in weekly meetings and community projects and services is almost perfect. When she became President of the Rotary Club of South Davao in Rotary Year 2009-2010, District 3860 Governor Antonio “Tony” Veneracion acknowledged her hardwork and exemplary leadership by giving her the “Most Outstanding President Award”

As a Doctor of Education, she gave me the much needed insights on how to mold, to guide, and to enlighten the thousands of students of the University of Mindanao Fitness and Wellness Centre to become better individuals spiritually, physically, mentally and emotionally. She’s gifted with wisdom and grace as she is a very humble and prayerful person. Her ever- inspiring mentor, Dr. Eugenio Guhao, provided her the strongest motivation of achieving one’s goal, especially in the field of education.

In her lifetime, she suffered persecutions, as all of us who are serving the Lord. Evil lies where hurled at her by wordly people but she never retaliated. Because all the more it made her faith in God at its strongest, that she will just keep silent, spend longer time in prayers, and look up to God for more faith and courage to bear the pains and humiliation.

The same “silence” was offered to God when her illness started to inflict her fragile body. It was Monday afternoon of July 20 when she was brought to the hospital, four prayerful days with her followed as her health condition was going downhill, and on Friday dawn, she was given by our Divine Maker her Eternal Rest.

The pain of separation cannot be expressed in words, but I have to let her go home to God were we all belong. My sister, my partner, my bestfriend, and my angel will always be in my heart and prayers until we meet again in heaven.

“The door of heaven is very low; that only the humble can enter it.”
