All set for the 6th Notre Dame Cup on 2 December 2017 at Apo Golf

The 6th Notre Dame Cup gets underway this Saturday, 2 December 2017, at the Apo Golf and Country Club in Davao City.

This charity fund golf tournament is organized by Batch 85 – Notre Dame of Kidapawan Boys and Girls HS Alumni Association, Inc. and will be co-presented this year by Colorsteel Systems Corporation, a leading manufacturer of pre-painted long span roofing and steel decking products.

Colorsteel’s President and CEO Pablito Gregore and its Chairman Jose Rey S. Batomalaque, who will play this Saturday, intimated that they fully support the Notre Dame Cup, which is in its sixth staging this year.

Batch 85 – International, Notre Dame of Kidapawan, led by its President Mizpah Miguel Amados, will serve anew as a Major Sponsor of the 6th Notre Dame Cup along with WTG Construction and Development Corporation. There are five (5) Minor Sponsors led by Megatesting Center, Inc., top materials testing laboratory in the entire Philippines, RN Builders, M. Montesclaros Enterprises Inc., Apo Golf and Country Club and the Abellera and Calica Law Offices.

The tourney, which will employ the System 36 scoring method, will be divided into three divisions, Class A, B and C, and trophies will be awarded to the Champion, 1st Runner Up and 2nd Runner Up of each division. Trophies also await the Overall Champion (Low Net) and Low Gross Champion. Special awards will be given to the Most Accurate Drive, Longest Drive and Nearest to the Pin.

More than 100 players have consistently played in the Notre Dame Cup as it attracts Notre Damians all over the country as well as golf players not only in Davao City but also in other cities and areas in Mindanao and even as far as Metro Manila.

This early, Batch 85 President Lilian Cano-Tirona expresses her gratitude to the sponsors and participants of the 6th Notre Dame Cup, which has become a yearly tradition for Notre Damians and golfers. She intimates that their batch will continue to organize the tourney, which is a charity golf event meant to raise funds for their socio-civic and community projects. In the previous years, the proceeds of the tourney were utilized to renovate and refurbish the audio-visual room of the Notre Dame of Kidapawan College Integrated Basic Education Department (NDKC-IBED) and to provide for the health needs of its members.

The scenic yet challenging Apo Golf and Country Club golf course will again host the 6th Notre Dame Cup. Tee times are from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on 2 December 2017, Saturday, while the awarding ceremonies is at 3:00 p.m. at the Apo clubhouse. Ticket price is very reasonable at only Php1,500.00, which entitles the player to giveaways, one practice round, free green fee on tournament day, lunch and participation in the raffle.
