70th PAL Interclub Davao City lags at 5th in Aviators

DAVAO City Golf Club trails at fifth spot after three days of action in the 70th Philippine Airlines Interclub Men’s Regular competition at the Rancho Palos Verdes Golf and Country Club.

They finished with 277 points in the Aviators division after three rounds coming off with a 97-point performance yesterday for fifth behind Sherwood Hills (320–106-113-101), Lumbia Golf (299-106-105-88), Alta Vista (280-93-88-99) and Manila Golf (279-89-89-101).

Yesterday’s scores came from Atty. Larry Pasquil (28), Ludwig Ledesma (26), Jerson Lebosada (22) and Richard Badang (21). Reinz Yamyamin’s 19 did not count. Davao City previous rounds tallied 91 on its first day and 89 on its second.

Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club lurks at sixth spot behind Davao City with 272 (81-83-108).

Davao City Golf tries to move up higher on the standings when they play at the Apo Golf and Country Club on today’s final day of action. Other members of the Davao City Club include Rodolfo Luna, Jun Grandeza, Edipolo Caturan, Elvie Naranjo and Mark Oropeza.

Apo remains 4th in Founders.

Host Apo Golf and Country Club still trails at fourth spot in the Founders Class with 352 points on a 120-point total yesterday at their hometurf. Scorers yesterday saw Jing Gavino (33), Juan Karlos Alba (32), Den-Den de Castro (31) and Leo Fusilero (24).

Leading the Founders Class after three days were Orchard Golf (363-123-116-124), Riviera Golf (355-116-117-122) and Cebu Country Club (354-113-119).

This year’s co-host Rancho Palos Verdes Golf and Country Club is at 12th spot with 299 points from rounds of 105-103 and 91. Scoring yesterday were Khalik Samanodi and EJ Casintahan with similar 26 points while Roderick Lo and Joseph Ng had 20 and 19 points, respectively.
