Letter to the Editor

Manila, 29 August 2018

Mindanao Times

With reference to the news article “Davao City Celebrates 8″ Beef Sharing Festival” published by your newspaper on 23 August 2018, we would like to inform your good office that ICAD is not recognized by the Government of the Republic of Turkey as a legitimate “Turkish” foundation or NGO.

ICAD is considered as an affiliate of the Fetullah Galen Terrorist Organization (FETO) which has been declared as a terrorist organization by the Turkish Government as well as by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA).

Such FETO-affiliated structures like ICAD are in no way authorized and eligible to represent “Turkey” and/or to be called as “Turkish” foundations or NGOs. Thus, they are not in a position to promote neither Turkish culture nor closer cultural ties between Turkey and the Philippines.

The Philippine society, therefore, should not be deceived by the so-called charitable acts of these FETO-affiliated groups or individuals. It is, indeed, hypocritical and against Islamic values that these formations display themselves as charity-loving and humanity-caring foundations while being affiliated with FETO which did not hesitate to shed the blood of its fellow citizens to attain its illegitimate goals.

We also would like to bring to your attention that while these FETO affiliated groups were given undue recognition through press coverage, several legitimate Turkish foundations that visited the Philippines for beef donations and other charitable acts during Eid al Adha, such as the Diyanet Vakfi, were not acknowledged.

We seek y groups and individuals and we would appreciate if you could publish this letter.our kind cooperation in not promoting such FETO-affiliated hypocrite.
