Southville International School Affiliated with Foreign Universities (SISFU) requested for a Cooking Class specializing in Davao cuisine and teamed up with Mel’s Davao Food Tour and Davao Doctors College Hospitality Management chair, Armand Mortejo who hosted the class.

Cristina Herrera, the restaurant consultant, was the resource person who taught the culinary students how to prepare Kinilaw and Law-oy. These dishes were chosen because these are authentic Davao dishes that reflect the way we eat and cook- relying on the freshest ingredients to stand out on their own.

The class was a huge success with the groups coming up with their own versions of Kinilaw.
