5 arrested in separate illegal drug buy-busts

A TATTOO artist, a student and three other alleged drug pushers were arrested in separate buy-bust operations conducted by the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Tugbok Police Precinct over the weekend.

City police director Sr. Supt. Alexander Tagum said tattoo artist Ernel Juntilla and Christian Aga, laborer, both residents of Tugbok District, were arrested after selling one roll of suspected marijuana leaves with fruiting tops hidden in a newspaper to an undercover policeman.

The operation was conducted in Phase 9C, Block 59, Deca Homes around 8:55 p.m. on Feb. 11, 2018.

Recovered from their possession were two rolled newspapers containing suspected marijuana leaves with fruiting tops and the buy-bust money. Also seized were the Honda Wave motorcycle and two cellular phones used by the suspects.

At around 2 p.m. of the same day, Neil Jan Lagdameo, 19, a student and resident of Barangay Tacunan, Tugbok District was arrested by the Tugbok police for reportedly selling a sachet of marijuana to a policeman.

Around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, two alleged drug pushers were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted in Langka Street, Deca Homes Resort and Residences, Barangay Tacunan, Tugbok District.

Ernel Juntilla, 23, a resident of Barangay Sto. Nino, and Christian Gerosaga, 20, an employee of Davao Convention Center and a resident of Barangay Tagakpan, were arrested after allegedly selling dried marijuana leaves to a policeman for P200.

Also recovered from them were two sachets of suspected dried marijuana leaves, motorcycle and a cellular phone.

The suspects are now detained in the Tugbok Police Precinct for the filing of appropriate case for violation of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
