45 law enforcers undergo  motorcycle-riding course

ANOTHER 45 police, military and 911 personnel started their training to enhance their motorcycle-riding skills.

Supt. Eliseo Malana Jr., officer-in-charge of the Highway patrol group (HPG) XI, told reporters yesterday at the parade grounds of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), that the training is also a requirement if one would like to be assigned to their unit.

“This for the safety of the individual,” he said. “Accidents could not be avoided but at least we can minimize them.  It’s better if there’s a motorcycle course.”

The training will run for 45 days.  “But it will depend on their performance, (if they are good) the number of training days will be cut,” he said.

This coming Dec. 2, 79 law enforcers will be graduating from the same course.

There are seven police commissioned officers, 12 personnel from Central 911, five from the Task Force Davao and 23 police non-commissioned officers  who are going through with the training.
