33rd SBC Kadayawan Open bowlfest Bat-Hai, Homer and Yazi bowlers in three-way lead

Davao City – Teams Bat-Hai, Homer and Yazi bowlers saw themselves caught in a three-way tie of the lead as they opened their title campaigns on a high note at the start of the 33rd SBC-Kadayawan Open bowling tournament played Saturday night at the Mega Dover Lanes and Recreation Center.

The all-irls Bat-Hai bowlers having Baby Gil Plata, Evelyn Gabriento, Merly Villahermosa, Ely Morsua, Mathess Domino and Dr.
Mona Sarabia rolled down 1,054 pins from identical two rounds of 527 to share the lead in the 13-team roster. Sharing the lead with Bat-Hai are the Homer bowlers compose of Muktan Amsirabi, Eric Engracia, Sky Sajili, Benjie Boncato, Nadz Ajijil and John Astapan who also had 1,054 from 548 and 506.

Joining them in the logjam will be the Yazi bowlers having Banny Bentulan, Boy Detuya, Dats Datuharo, Cocoy Villarin, Harry
Cabigas and Cris Betonio (545-509-1,054).

Currently at second place is the Five Brothers with 1,048 (553-495) and Jonzlibz at third with 1,046 (480-566).

Games three and four will be played tonight  at the same venue while rounds five and six will be on August 16 and from there will determine the top four and master qualifiers.

“The team standings is expected to alter in the next elimination games as two teams from Manila which participated in this year’s Kadayawan tournament are expected to improve their game as they are able now to familiarize the alley’s condition,” organizers said.

The championship games will be played on August 17 which cash prizes are at stake for the winners.
