29th GET Open golf set June 18 at Apo Golf

THE 29th edition of the Guillermo E. Torres (GET) Open golf tournament gets going this June 18 at the Apo Golf and Country Club.

Some 180 golfers from in an out of the region are seen to join the annual tournament dubbed as the city’s longest running golf competition to date. Competition proper follows the Individual Modified Stable Ford mode of play.

One million pesos cash will be the premium hole-in-one prize to go along with a brand new Mitsubishi Adventure, a LED television and motorcycles will be at stake on designated holes on par 3 fairways.

Tee off times will be at 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. using shotgun starts.

Registration is ongoing at the Apo Golf and Country Club and at the University of Mindanao Broadcasting Network (UMBN) offices. It is pegged at P2,000 per entry inclusive of a mulligan.

Proceeds of the tournament will go to the scholars of the Mount Apo Science Foundation College.

The awarding ceremonies will be held on that evening at the Royal Mandaya Hotel Grand Ballroom.
