19-year old beauty from Midsayap crowned Mutya ng North Cot 2015

Kidapawan City– Jeanebeth B. Sedavia, a stunningly beautiful 19-year old graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accounting Technology in Notre Dame of Midsayap College (NDMC), Midsayap bested 11 other candidates during the Grand Coronation Night of the Mutya ng North Cotabato 2015 held at the Kidapawan City Gymnasium on Wednesday night of August 26, 2015.

Sedavia captured the hearts of the audience and the judges because of her beauty and intelligence she exuded throughout the pageant night.

During the initial interview portion, she was asked the question on how she would promote environmental protection which she answered eloquently focusing on the right information and awareness among people.

“Informing the people of their important role in preserving the environment is the key to saving and protecting our world” answered Sedavia which sent the crowd cheering.

During the final question for the Top 5 which goes “If you will be crowned the Mutya, what concrete program or action would you do to promote peace and unity among tri-People?”, In her answer, Sedavia accentuated on the significance of dialogues among people especially those who have disputes or disagreements.

This finally got her to win the most coveted crown. She also won the Miss Photogenic Award at the early part of the pageant.

Clarice Faith V.Tero, 19, 4th year Computer Engineering, representing Kidapawan City landed as the 1st Runner-Up, she also won the Best in Playsuit and Best in Gown; Jeddah Rica Jickain, 22, Registered Pharmacist representing Pikit – 2nd Runner-Up and Best in Talent; Jessa Pearl Lopez, 18, BS Civil Engineering student of Ateneo de Davao representing Pigcawayan- 3rd Runner-Up and Venus Jhade Villavicencio, 18, Pharmacy student of the University of Southern Mindanao representing Magpet – 4th Runner-Up.

Winner of other minor awards was Katheleen Puerto of Tulunan – Best in Haute Couture Designer and Model and Best in Interview.

All the winners were given cash prizes, trophies, sash and bouquets.

The Grand Coronation Night was hosted by the reigning Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and Indie film and Star Magic actor Aldrico Padilla.

The Board of Judges were composed of Bb.Pilipinas-International 2007Naida Lee Shami; Century Tuna Superbod 2015 1st Runner-Up Laurence Octavio Willen Tolenaars; International Model and Miss Philippine Airlines 2015 Kylie Versoza; GMA 7 lead actor for ‘The Rich Man’s Daughter’ teleserye Bryan Bennidect and internationally renowned fashion designer Leo Almodal.

The star-studded Search for the Mutya ng North Cotabato 2015 is one of the highlights of the 101st founding anniversary of the Province of Cotabato and Kalivungan Festival 2015 with the theme “Sa Pagtutulungan at Pagkakaisa, Kapayapaa’y Matatamasa”.

In her special message, Cotabato Governor Emmylou “Lala” J. Taliño-Mendoza thanked her constituents for supporting her administration and the advocacy of “Serbisyong Totoo”.

Other top provincial officials including Vice Gov Gregorio “Dodong” Ipong, Board Members Shirlyn Macasarte, Loreto Cabaya, Jr. Eliseo Garcesa, Jr. Kellie U. Antao, Dulia Sultan, Cristobal Cadungon, Airene Claire Pagal (Chair of the Search for the Mutya ng NotCot), Jomar Cerebo, Florenito Villasor, Maybelle T. Valdevieso and Ivy Dalumpines-Balitoc.

On the part of the Kidapawan City LGU, present during the pageant were City Mayor Joseph A. Evangelista, Vice Mayor Rodolfo Y.Gantuangco and other city officials.

In their messages, Evangelista and Gantuangco lauded the Provincial Government of Cotabato and the administration of Taliño-Mendoza for their advocacies to uplift the lives of the people thru noteworthy programs and projects.
