18 police officers in R-11 get promoted

EIGHTEEN police officers were promoted and 68 police precincts under the regional office received recognition for passing the implementation of the PNP Program Transformation during a ceremony at Camp Quintin Merecido yesterday morning.The 18 officers promoted from Chief Inspector to Superintendent were Benedicto Faco; Shiela Ballesteros; Alfredo Baloran; Julius Bargio; Ernesto Castillo; Jed Clamor; Jay Dema-Ala; Antonio Ibot; Vianney Lagundi; Edito Mandi; Jeffrey Razonable; Angel Sumagaysay; Demetrius Taypin; Nasruddin Tayuan; Deozar Almasa; Hector Grijaldo Jr.; Samson Kimayong; and Antonio Rotol Jr..

PNP Director General Alan Purisima commended the members of the regional PNP for their contibution to the success of the reporms implemented by the leadership, including the Police Integrated Patrol System which ensured police visibility to cut crime volume from last year’s 51,139 to 33,421.

Purisima also revealed that the PRO-XI had conducted a number of trainings on markmanship, firearms proficiency and crisis response, internal security operations and disaster’s search and rescue responses.

This year, the regional office also received 2,882 Glock 17 caliber 9mm pistols which were distributed to different police officers.

He also congratulated the region for the intensive anti-illegal drug campaign resulting to the arrest of 950 suspects and confiscations of assorted illegal drugs with an estimated value of 413 million.

Purisima assured that going forward, more effort will be geared toward enhancing the investigative capability of the personnel to better serve the public.

On the other hand, regional police director, Chief Supt. Wendy Rosario, also challenged the newly promoted police officers to perform their jobs better.
