18 nabbed in Bulabog

EIGTEEN persons with pending criminal cases were arrested during the Oplan Bulabog conducted yesterday in various barangays in the city.

 Davao City Police Office (DCPO) director Sr. Supt. Alexander Tagum told TIMES that the latest operation also profiled 1,889 residents, including 251 individuals who have no valid identification card, in the joint anti-criminality and terrorism operations.

 Those arrested were identified as John Doreen Cadiz (murder and physical injuries), Benjie Duropan (frustrated murder), Leo Zapanta (robbery), Noel Saura and Gaudencio Hadlocon (reckless imprudence resulting to homicide), Arabella Lanojan (grave slander), Maximu Secuya and Danilo Palermo (violence against woman and children), Arnel Preglo, Celio Mangguiob, Joseph Ondona, Ivan  Herwela, Siberiano Gelia, Cleo Calleso, Mario Nguho, Adonis Nguho, Reynaldo Datuin, and Wilfredo Datuin (for illegal gambling).

 They were arrested based on the warrant issued by the court.

 Tagum said the operation was conducted simultaneously in the areas of Sta. Ana Police Precinct (RGA in Barangay Gov. Paciano Bangoy), San Pedro (Purok 1, PC Compound in Brgy 38-D), Talomo (San Antonio in Barangay Matina Crossing), Sasa (Km 12 in Brgy Sasa), Buhangin (Acacia in Brgy Buhangin), Bunawan (Kabayan Relocation in Brgy Tibungco), Toril (Sitio Ilang-Ilang, Brgy Daliao), Tugbok (Brgy Sto Nino, Tugbok), and Calinan (Puroks 8 and 9, R. Magsaysay St., Calinan).

 The operation was jointly conducted by DCPO and its 10 police precincts, with the assistant of Task Force Davao, Regional Public Safety Battalion, Philippine Coast Guard, Regional Mobile Unit, National Bureau of Investigation, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and the Regional Intelligence Unit.

 The operation lasted for three hours that ended by 9 a.m.
