12 precinct commanders enhance skills in training

Twelve precinct commanders joined the two-day urban tactical and defensive training held at the firing range of Camp Domingo Leonor along San Pedro Street starting yesterday.

Davao City Police Office director Sr. Supt. Alexander Tagum told reporters yesterday that the training will also test their alertness and capability to respond to any threat or emergency.

“We all know the present  heightened alert level of the DCPO, together with the whole service  security providers of Davao City,  because of  the threat of terrorist groups like the New People’s Army and other Southern Philippines terror groups,” Tagum said.

“This is also part of our preparations because we know that at any given day, if the criminals and terrorist will attack  and target our  policemen, then at least we are assured  that the they (Davao police) are ready to confront them,” he added.

Also joining the two-day training were personnel of the DCPO, Mobile Patrol Group and City Public Safety Company.
